HYBRID CREATIVITY
The PLX-CRSS12 is the world's first turntable that supports both analog record playback and tone-arm-free DVS control, making it the ultimate deck for DJs who want to maximize their creativity.
Tone-arm-free DVS control eliminates skipping in digital playback
No matter how hard you scratch, you’ll never experience needle skipping when you use the PLX-CRSS12 in Digital Vinyl mode, thanks to the tone-arm-free system. The new MAGVEL CLAMP holds a record firmly in place when you touch it, enabling it to directly control the digital music file, giving you the true feeling of vinyl with no need to use the tone arm. When playing analog records, the experience will be just like using the popular PLX-1000 deck.
Feeling adjustment to suit your style
You can quickly adjust the record's "weight" with the dial on top of the MAGVEL CLAMP. This means you can effortlessly continue your performance without the hassle of changing slip mats or slip sheets.
Customizable torque level
It's easy to change the turntable rotation torque level in the utility settings to suit your preference. You can choose from "High" for quick startup when you press PLAY, "Low" for the traditional torque speed that many DJs are familiar with, and "Mid" for a balance between the two.
Adjustable stopping speed
Use the switch on the front of the deck to adjust the time it takes for the turntable to stop when you press STOP. The "Min" is sharp. The "Mid" uses a traditional stopping speed that's familiar to DJs. And the "Max" creates the longest stopping speed for a gradual and dramatic finish to a track or performance.
Performance Pads for accurate and rapid control
The PLX-CRSS12 inherits classic turntable layout elements, but a new addition is the 4 built-in MIDI-mappable Performance Pads which put your favorite features at your fingertips. They’re right where you need them – just below the platter – so you can fire off Hot Cues and samples quicker than ever, which comes in handy even more if you’re performing on a mixer that has no pads. There’s native support for various pad modes (see below), and a dedicated button enables you to switch control from pads 1-4 to 5-8. The pads are MIDI mappable too, so you can assign them to other features.
OLED display for quick confirmation of track information
The built-in OLED display also helps you focus on the deck. You can keep an eye on the tempo range and key when Step Pitching and, when you connect the PLX-CRSS12 via USB to your PC/Mac running DJ software, you can reference BPM, key, deck number information. The display also gives you quick access to the utility settings – all of which reduces the need to break concentration and look at your laptop or mixer during a performance.
High-quality sound reproduction of analog records, evolved from the PLX-1000
Let your audience enjoy your music the way it was intended to be heard. The PLX-CRSS12 has been carefully built to improve on the sound quality of the PLX-1000 professional DJ turntable, which is highly acclaimed for its accurate sound reproduction.
-Switching power supply
A switching power supply is used to eliminate transformer power supply vibration and flux leakage, and unwanted noise is suppressed, resulting in high-resolution sound quality.
-High-mass die-cast zinc
As with the PLX-1000, the upper part of the chassis is made of high-mass die-cast zinc and the lower part is made of 8 mm thick resin to optimize the chassis structure and vibration-damping materials.
-Machined gold-plated RCA terminals
The RCA terminals are made of machined gold-plated parts like those on the PLX-1000, and the phono signal is directly transmitted through a stable connection with the plug to reproduce the sound of analog records with high-quality audio.
Robust and elegant design in matte black color
The PLX-CRSS12 has a matte black color scheme, with special coatings applied to the tone arm and other metal parts, plus carefully crafted details that give it a robust and elegant appearance.
Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox compatibility
The PLX-CRSS12 is compatible with Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox. By connecting this unit to a PC/Mac with DJ software installed, and to a mixer that supports the DVS function of the respective DJ software, you can start playing in Digital Vinyl mode and use the Performance Pads.

Precautions for Use
The AlphaTheta Euphonia produces a euphoric sound with the clarity of digital and the richiness of analog that’s never been heard from a DJ mixer before.
To deliver a clearer sound quality that accurately reproduces the expression of the music, the euphonia uses high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters as well as 96kHz/64bit floating point mixing processing operations in the DSP, utilizing the digital signal processing technology AlphaTheta has developed over many years.
All sound coming out of the euphonia dj mixer passes through a transformer circuit co-designed by AlphaTheta and Rupert Neve Designs, the legendary makers of outstanding analog audio circuitry and mixing desks revered by artists and sound engineers around the world. This transformer circuit, tuned specifically for the euphonia, adds harmonics to the music and creates a glossy and energetic sound that’s smoother for mixing. Low frequencies such as kicks and bass are more stable and punchy, mid frequencies like vocals and instruments have more presence and gloss, and high frequencies such as hi-hats sound silky and natural. The transformer breaks down the barrier between vintage live and modern electric sounds, making mixing easier and surprisingly natural, as if recordings in different styles were originally one piece of music. When you touch the faders on the euphonia, you won’t want to let go.
To enhance its intuitive mixing experience, the new AlphaTheta unit is loaded with rotary faders that feature a brand-new carefully developed design to give you the feeling that you and the mixer are one. After extensive testing, the perfect knob sizes were chosen, with an elastomer applied to the outer circumference of each to ensure a comfortable and reliable grip as well as a high level of vibration absorption. The uniquely developed mechanism for the faders also benefits from optimum weighting. You’ll notice a difference in the feel of the knobs when you turn them at different speeds, as a smooth load is applied when you turn a knob slowly for delicate fine-tuning and a limited load level is applied when you turn a knob quickly to instantly reach your intended volume level. And the fader volume curves have been optimized through feedback from numerous DJs, enabling smooth and natural mixing without equalizing, so you can concentrate on volume control. This innovative fader allows for musical expression that will move your audience and enhance your performance.
Highest-quality isolator
The size of the isolator knobs is perfect for rapid turns from center to maximum or minimum, and the torque load is perfectly balanced for both quick operation and fine sound quality adjustment, with a luxurious feel that’s not too light. The cut-off frequency and slope are set to control and highlight the kick, melody, and rhythm bands in a natural yet sharp manner.
Brand-new Boost Send for one-handed effects application
Add one of the built-in Send Effects, or an effect from an external unit, to the sound of any of the master isolator frequency bands. Press the Boost Send button for the low, mid, or high and, as you turn the isolator knob, the effect will be applied to that band. This enables you to apply effects with a single hand in a way that previously needed two, leaving the other hand free for mixing another track.
Boost Level to help you express your style
Pick the Boost Level setting that suits your playing style and the volume level of each frequency band will be increased by the relevant amount. Choose +12dB for dynamic performances, +6dB for sound quality adjustments, and 0dB for reverb effects without any volume boost.
The euphonia features 5 built-in spatial effects and a high-pass filter, so you can easily add depth and breadth to your music. These are: Delay, Tape Echo, Echo Verb, Reverb, Shimmer, and HPF (high-pass filter). Also Send/Return section which you the option to connect external effects units. A dedicated knob on each channel enables you to adjust the send level going to the selected effect, so you can apply just the right amount. And the time knob, which allows you to adjust the effect delay and reverb time, has a proprietary mechanism developed specifically for this unit that automatically switches between a clicking sensation and no-clicking sensation depending on the effect you’ve selected. When using Delay, Tape Echo, and Echo Verb, the knob clicks according to the BPM, so you can quickly apply effects. When you use Reverb and Shimmer, there’s no clicking so you can turn the knob freely to perform smooth sweeps or make tiny adjustments to find the perfect setting.
The euphonia was designed to signify a new era of rotary mixers, with a “two-tone, two-layer” look symbolizing tradition and innovation. The channel strip section, which comprises traditional mixer elements, is distinguished from the innovative display section by matte and gloss textures, resulting in a crisp design that combines analog and digital elements. The copper color of the primary knobs conveys the warmness of analog sound, and the wood side panels are painted black to blend in with the overall aesthetic.
